Food Shop’s
Tesco Express - is opposite accommodation and has the longest open hours in Sidcup, it is so convenient. Great for when you run out of toothpaste.
Co-operative - Large “Cornershop” most of us use it for are weekly shop as it is 3min walk form accommodation and on the way back from the college.
Morrison’s - Large Supermarket on Sidcup High-street there is a great rage of food and a half an aisle for glucose and lactose intolerants etc. TIP! If you go in the evening you get all the food sales and there are often weekend job opportunities.

Superdrug - is on Sidcup High-street the main place to go for your hygiene and beauty needs.

Sidcup has no shortage for Restaurants, takeaways and coffee shops. If it is hang over food you are after then Tulips is just across the road from accommodation, or if you want a takeaway then Dominos, Curry Mahal or Hing’s are the place to go, otherwise, you go out with your friends or parent to any of the following,

Pub’s
There are lots of pubs in Sidcup but these are the most popular ones for the Bruford students. Pubs in Sidcup don’t let people in past 11pm and most close at this time too. All three provide bar food.
Iron Horse – 3min walk from accommodation, there is often a live band or an Open Mic Night.
Ye Olde Black Horse – down the road from Sidcup Station just a classic pub (sports TV)

Bluewater – is the UK’s largest shopping centre, it has everything and is 45min by bus or 25min by car.

Charity shops – Sidcup High-street is full of these for furniture to clothes, it is great for costume, props and set and you can always find something for yourself.
Poundland – get deals on washing detergent and softener, if you are inventive it is great for equipment and materials for making props to model boxes.

Cineworld – Bexleyheath is the east to get to and affordable.

Lamorbey Park – Sidcup is full of small pockets of parks, but Lamorbey is the most commonly used by Bruford students, as it is at the back of college.

Sidcup Train Station into London – it is opposite accommodation. Heading into London takes 25min and you get off at Charring Cross, Waterloo, London Bridge or Canon Street. TIP! You should get a student oyster card and attach it to your 16-25 rail card to get a double discount on travel costs and avoid travelling at peek time as it is much cheaper.

Heath, Beauty & Care
Sidcup Leisure Centre – open 6.30am-10pm and is used the most, as it is on the walk to Rose Bruford and it has everything swimming pool, gym, yoga classes…
Better Gym Sidcup – on Sidcup High-street, there is a monthly membership fee of under £20. Students are not charged a joining fee. Open between the hours of 6.30am-10pm
Fine line Barbers – situated directly opposite halls
Hairdresser - Smudge £5 off during a week day. Smudge is opposite Christopher Court friendly and very convenient.
