Ernest/ Ernie

Ernest is an independent café bar that has so much to offer! They have, food drink, live music, events and more – they’re also open to any suggestion as to what you might want to see. Ernest have recently opened ‘Ernie’, their own takeout, shop, and deli. Most of their stock is extremely local and their focus is to have a unique shop that ‘is as kind as possible to people and planet’

Nothern Rye

The best bakes! Northern Rye has it all, from freshly baked bread, to sandwiches, to pastries, to coffee. This small, handcrafted bakery is located in Ouseburn and takes pride of their quality - it’s definitely worth a visit whether you have a sweet tooth or fancy something more savoury.

The Yesterday Society

For all your vintage and retro clothing needs! This vintage boutique is located in the heart of Newcastle’s Grainger Market with new stock each day. They also have an Etsy store, where you can purchase items online and get them delivered right to your door!

Pop Up Wok

If you’re looking for tasty, authentic Hong Kong street food, then you need to take a trip to Pop Up Wok! They serve traditional street food, sweet treats, bubble skewers, wings, and drinks. Pop Up Wok is owned by two Hong Kong natives that come to Newcastle to study!

Great British Cupcakery

Possibly the prettiest cupcakes around! Great British Cupcakes are a family run cupcakery with an Insta-worthy parlour! Not only do they serve cupcakes, but they also serve afternoon tea, milkshakes, sandwiches and more.

The Wee Leaf

If you’re plant crazy then you definitely need to check out The Wee Leaf! They’re a plant shop that sells houseplants and create amazing handmade terrariums. They offer free delivery aound the Newcastle area, orders can be placed on their website. Keep an eye out for their pop up stores!

Whether you’re gaming obsessed or just want a laugh with friends - The CTRL Pad offers quality gaming entertainment for anyone.
