Lyme Disease

Research into the growing problem of Lyme Disease on Uist where the incidence is far greater than on other islands or the mainland.

The research has found that the number of ticks infected was 7% which is a higher proportion than across Scotland. The research also discovered that it was common for people to be exposed to ticks inhabitations of humans. Click below to discover more.
